#189 Cactus Wren |
Long day starting with Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, swinging by Steele Indian School park to see the Rosy-faced Lovebirds, then
finishing the day at Gilbert Water Ranch.
Today I learned:
- Hummingbirds will team up with their predators (thrashers and wrens) to pester a larger predator (like an owl).
- Doves and Great-horned Owls will make nests in the arm crotch of the Saguaro while starlings, House Sparrows and Western Screech Owls make nests inside the cactus.
